I was talking to my mom the other day and expressed interest in having LASIK surgery. She didn’t think that was the greatest idea because she is extremely cautious and worries a lot more than any group of 100 people. The fear of having surgery probably keeps many people from going through with the procedure.
One of the reasons I started Pasadena Lasik Surgery was to give people a resource that they could use to make this kind of decision. Why would people go through with this?
For me and many other people, it’s a quality of life issue. I want to have LASIK surgery done because I’m tired of my pathetic contacts that I hate. All of the maintenance junk that I have to go through just to be able to see is a ridiculous joke.
I keep wondering to myself what people did before glasses and contact lenses were available, it must have been amazingly difficult. I imagine that they probably just couldn’t see anything! Although I’m grateful that I’m not in that position, I still suffer from quality of life issues that don’t plague many other people. I have to spend time every single day messing with contacts.
What happens to a person with contacts that goes out of town and forgets to take a contact case and solution? Well if they end up sleeping with their contacts in they will probably lose their mind the next day – this makes contacts so dry you almost can’t stand it.
I’ve been using the kind of disposable contacts that you throw away every day. It’s kind of nice because you don’t have to clean them – you just toss the pair away at night and put in a new pair in the morning. What really sucks though is if you end up sleeping somewhere without a new lens. You’ll wake up to find severe discomfort that probably won’t go away. A few hours after you wake up your eyes start itching like crazy.
Do I have to even go on? Lasik surgery sounds freaking awesome to me.
